As much as we think of the Muppets being associated with Sesame Street and kids, The Muppet Show could be surprisingly adult. One of my favorite moments was Raquel Welch in a very revealing dress singing “Baby, It’s Me” while dancing with a Muppet spider.
Does anyone else remember the Muppet characters that were created for the Saturday Night Live “Land of Gorsh” skits back in 1975? They aired during the first season of the show. Those particular Muppets were never seen again. Jim Henson also created a couple of Muppets name Wilkins and Won’tkins who appeared in a series of commercials for Wilkins Coffee back in the late ’50s/early ’60s.

I learn so much here! I always look up what Satchel is talking about. I am a bit too old to know them from personal experience!

I think the fact that Mahna Mahna originated from the soundtrack of an Italian soft core porn film is bad enough.
