A good old book once said, Neither a borrower or a lender be, (to oneself.) For to thy own self be true (and a tight wad with money!)

I miss Dilbert.

(But) it’s usually not a good idea to lend money to a friend (anyway).

And you don’t have to think up excuses for why you haven’t paid it back.

In my younger days, if a friend asked to borrow money, I said sure at 20% interest per day, compounded. That stopped them from asking real quick!
