I can answer that question of do cats fart… They do, and it smells bad. My SO and I have a white floofy one that will sleep next to him and fart so bad it wakes the cat and then it runs off. We know its the cat as he will do it even if my SO isn’t home at the time.

Yes, cat farts can keep you up at night. My advice is to sleep with the window open.
