Names usually are just something given to you by parents who meant well.

Close the lid, Verne. You’re being dragged by a algorithm.

I originally read the synopsis bar as “Verne chants with an AI Chatbot”. Was very confused after reading the entire strip.

You can always get your name changed. I mean, if I wanted a new name, I could go down to an office and get one. If I had to change my name, it would be “Armando.”

by the way, am I one of the last people to play with the chatbot on purpose? I know I’ve chatted with them in customer support before. Just never started a conversation with one just to see what happens. Except Alexa, and unless you want to buy something, she’s very ignorant.

My mom’s name was Anna, my dad’s Charles. My mom’s best friend was Charlesanna, so naturally that was to be my name. My dad hated her friend, so he said, ‘no,’ and I was named for his mother (both of us female).

Please. You think no name is worse than that of the 20,000 Leagues guy?

My grandmother was the 11th of 12. WASP family, and yet one daughter had a traditionally Jewish name another a Hispanic name and one of the boys was named after a friggin’ flower. My joke was that my great grandparents must have just run out of the run of the mill English names.
