I agree it does look like an eggshell on her head, but I think it’s pretty obvious that it is not an egg. Again, I know this is a comic, but no bird is going to drop its own egg on someone’s head… ☺
many years ago I was walking down the street with my arms full when I suddenly lost vision in my left eye. I stopped to put my guitar and other items down (I was actually going to the music store to buy a new guitar case) and took off my glasses to find out that a bird marksman had managed to hit the inside of my glasses without hitting me in the eye.
Well, that’s embarrassing! But my (bad) experience is more with demented seagulls, who love to hang around the shopping center’s parking lot! —Both crazy and messy!
