I know it’s just a stupid comic strip, but I’m more than a little convinced that the continued dissemination of this type of fundamental misunderstanding of how evolution actually works is a major reason behind so many ignorant people being so easy to convince that it’s crazy, or “just a theory”, or anything other than rock bottom cold hard fact.
