I just had this conversation with friends the other day. Hubby and I travel a lot and no matter where we go, there is bound to be a Wal-mart. Even when we went to Mexico we saw a big Walmart (no we didn’t stop it).
I was never a big fan of Dollar General until we started traveling to small villages. It takes time and money to drive up to an hour to the nearest big town. Then we end up going out for lunch while we are there. The small mark up at DG is worth saving the wear and tear of frequent “drives into town”.

There are advantages to being rooted to the ground, it seems.

Without going out of my room, I can see all things on earth.
Without looking out of my window, I can know the ways of heaven.
The farther one travels, the less one knows.
