Hmmm, I had a math teacher with the last name of Kruger. I wonder.

—) I think it was a pope — Pope Alexander or somebody? — who wrote,

“A little learning is a dangerous thing; drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring: there shallow draughts intoxicate the brain, and drinking largely sobers us again.”

I got it off BrainyQuotes on-line that had a lot of other smart-sounding junk. Don’t know … seems kind of “woke,” to me. He’d better not try teaching school in Florida! (—

The Dunning-Kruger Effect is self-sustaining, like the Roman Arch, which is actually Etruscan.

I am happy to say that I am able to quickly recover from the Dunning-Kruger Effect. I assumed that having moved adroitly from one part of the automotive fuel system to another over my 35 years in the industry meant that I could quickly learn a new technology. I think my Dunning-Kruger over-confidence lasted about one week into my job engineering contact lenses.

If you cannot understand you cannot understand that you can’t. Some believe they know more than they really know. The more knowledgeable can understand they don’t know it all.
