Okay, so we can probably assume that the litter is not actually possessed by demonic forces which Ed drove out. Perhaps the definition of “exorcise” Batiuk means here is “to remove the bad effects of a frightening or upsetting event.” You know, as in “I wish I could exorcise today’s ‘Crankshaft’ strip from my memory!”

But he kills two birds with one stone.

I see a lot of trash when I go for my walks

What worries me the most is the amount of empty alcohol bottles I see that have obviously been thrown from cars

So this week is going to be all wordplay by the other characters?

It annoys me to see trash on the street or sidewalk as I walk my dog each morning. Even more annoying is to find a pile of dog poop that I know darn well my dog didn’t leave. I usually pick that up, figuring I don’t want a neighbor stepping in it and blaming my dog. Also, there are some people in my neighborhood who dislike dogs and have it in for dog owners. I don’t want to give them more ammunition.

Much better would be for all dog people to be responsible and clean up after their dogs.

And your problem with that, given people throw their trash on the ground, is what, exactly?

IKR? You wouldn’t believe all the garbage I pick up in my own yard when a strong wind blows through here! Ppl are disgusting!

Yeah litterers tick me off as well. They are the real trash of the world.
