Throw the books right back. If he gets a good whack maybe he’ll understand something about empathy. Would you like books thrown at you? I doubt he’d say yes.
Met a two-year-old like this last week. Mom already had him well and truly figured out. If he wasn’t eating or sleeping he was very, very busy hiking, paddle boarding (sitting on her board), swimming (with help, of course), playing games, reading books (being read to), etc. She never gave the kid a chance to get into trouble and he was very happy.
