This is my last strip in the morning before going to work. After reading it I played a game of solitaire because of my empathy with Adam (something I seldom have).

If it’s not about volume, why is he yelling?

It’s a lot of effort to avoid work you know. If you’re not bringing me coffee go tend to your own knitting.

It is a good thing Adam’s wife is a successful writer!

When I was working on my Masters. My office mates and I would often do something like just have quick ball/frisbee/etc. toss in the hallway, or a quick YouTube video-sharing session (this was around the time of the Google purchase). And before you knew it, it was time to go to class or lunch.

I had an “artist” as a roomie at college and he told me the same thing as he was apparently doing nothing for ⅔ of the term. With 2 weeks to go he virtually disappeared …and produced all the art required for all his courses. Guess he told me the truth.

A perfect demonstration why employers are cancelling “work at home” programs. One employer said some of his workers didn’t open their company-provided laptops for a month.

I think someone once said work is 90 percent prep and 10 percent work.

It’s called procrastination. It’s a character trait of mine for years. Fortunately, am retired now and it doesn’t really matter.

Nothing is easier than not-writing.

Putting Laura in front of the computer for a while would probably help.

C’mon Adam, get with the program. Start your warm-up day as I do, commenting on GoComics, comics, works everyday…
