I’ve often thought telling people to speak up and repeat themselves makes a person seem older. Maybe with inexpensive OTC hearing aids, that will be reduced. There’s even apps that make your smartphone and Bluetooth ear piece a hearing aid.
That’s right G-ma you don’t want to appear old and for sure. Yelling at Herb will make your point true and his laughable because that’s how narcissists think.
I’ve worn glasses since I was 7, in my sixties now. I consider them an accessory, like jewelry, & love getting new ones. I’d rather be able to see than think about my vanity. Like my ophthalmologist says, “Seeing is fun!” :D

At 90, my mother said she wouldn’t get hearing aids because “they were for old people.”
