I do indeed. One of my peeves. The song has been written. Doesn’t need re-writing. And this is not a demo tape where you need to try to impress someone with your supposed talents. It’s to honor America, Americans and those Americans who have provided us with the freedom to butcher the anthem. Just don’t do it.

The Canadian anthem ‘O Canada’ has been changed so often and has been sung in too many variations — that I mute the TV when it is played and cannot follow along as I do not know the words anymore. One rendition sounded like a cat whose tail was being stepped on and others have had word/phrase changes by the singer without permission.National anthems should be sacrosanct.

I used to enjoy Rene Rancourt Before Boston Bruins games at the Boston Gardens. Since retired.

That’s one very long high note. BTW. We should be singing the 4th verse. That’s the all positive one. The 1st verse that we usually sing is almost all questions.

One of my pet peeves. I still don’t understand why they play the national anthem before sporting events. They don’t do it before concerts, movies, plays, or any other form of entertainment. I hate this pandering to patriotism for profit.

I think every stadium should be equipped with a trap door that activates after 75 seconds.
