Andy Capp lives in the town of Hartlepool (northeast England). Its football (soccer for Americans) team (Hartlepool United) is about to be relegated from the top tier of football (i.e they are 91st out of 92 teams). Hence the disappointment and misery.

Good reason to drown their sorrows in a pint (or two or three…) of ale.

This is an excellent one. Gave me a giggle. Haha!

I know all about disappointment and misery and I’m not talking about football teams. The abrupt ending of my job, cancelled blood donation etc. I love my life. I really do. Haha.

However I get paid from the surveys on Friday so got that to look forward to.

On another note, I recieved this voicemail today. It’s a well known scam over here that threatens legal action for unpaid tax. Google “HMRC scam”

I’m surprised Andy and Chalkie didn’t beat him up, since he’s rooting for a rival team.

I once wore a MUFC scarf in the outskirts of London. My brother warned me I could get beaten up in that neighborhood. So I packed it away and bought myself an England scarf instead.
