Considering that bears have also been known to eat people, human parents might think the same thing.

Is this what it means to be “sleeping with the fishes”?

This is normal for my family. A Great White Shark was the favorite stuffed animal of one of my children.

In case non-Alaskan readers wish to know, those are Salmon. They will spend 1-to-8 years in the open ocean, after which they will swim back up the stream from which they hatched in order to spawn. The bears will be waiting for them when they do so, as the bears really like salmon as a food.

If my kid was sleeping with a serial killer doll, I’d be creeped out too.

Normally a fish bed is where fish spawn. Being alone in the fish bed is kind of creepy. Is this fish going to (try to) “spawn” alone? Or spawn with the teddy bear?
