uhh…. that makes me out of tater tots of a hotdish shrug

If you put the onion rings in the middle, you can say it’s art.

So what?

As long as it tastes delicious,…

It’s amazing seeing English evolve right before our eyes.

Don’t they have a warehouse food store where you can buy a pallet load of tater tots for half of what they cost at the supermarket?

So, is a bowl of tater tots called a hotdish?

You might arrange the onion rings into a smiley face in the Tater Tot opening. Maybe snack a few more Tots to make room. Or the 3D shape of a butte as an homage to the local landscape.

I always thought hot dish = casserole. Is there something else going on? I never had tater tots in any casserole I was served and I suddenly feel deprived.

I can see someone has been saving the phrase “provincial cachet” for that perfect moment (or close enough).

Mmmm, onion rings.

I’d totally use that saying, except I’m not sure if enough people here in New Mexico know what a hot dish is.
