You’re great Ziggy. Even if you don’t think so.

You’ve been around a long long time, Zigg. In comics, that’s greatness.

Ziggy is actually great. You can say he is a rare cartoon character that actually has 4 fingers on a hand instead of having the common 3 fingers on a hand. (Albeit in the last panel he seems to have lost all but one finger on a hand!)

Greatness requires lots of effort…and risk. You have to be willing to fail, sometimes spectacularly, and to pick yourself up out of the gutter of failure and self-doubt, and try again. That’s why we reward the risk takers large amounts for their sacrifices above the mediocracy seekers for their efforts. It isn’t remotely easy, and the financial, family, and social costs can be overwhelming.

Anyone that can walk around without pants for as long as you have, is a pretty darn good something.

Malvolio in Twelfth Night. Before every performance of it I was in we’d stand in a circle rotating our hips on “Some are born great; some achieve greatness; and some have greatness” and thrust them into the middle of the circle on “thrust upon them.” With all the guys in tights (I didn’t put on my priestly vestments until after Valentine’s last scene in Act II).
