It is easy to scream “CORRUPTION” to attempt to discredit the investigators without providing any proof. However, unless something radically has changed in the last ten minutes, the accused are entitled to legal representation, trial, and jury of their peers. And most defendants hire lawyers that are excellent in their field. Indeed, a corrupt investigation would be uncovered during the lengthy legal process.
Furthermore, corruption of this magnitude would require the buy-in of the prosecutors, Judges, and juries. That seems highly unlikely.
Occam’s razor suggests a more likely scenario would be that the current crop of Republicans like Trump are guilty, and they are using the playbook of accusing the process since they have no other play.
All our agencies, FBI, CIA, the military, capitol police, DOJ, NSA, et al are corrupt and only tRump and his MAGA gang are honest? Sounds like Bull Durham to me.
Reading most of these comments made me look up “Denialism” Denialism is an essentially irrational action that withholds the validation of a historical experience or event when a person refuses to accept an empirically verifiable reality.
When it becomes clear to even the most biased person, that the justice department has two tiers of enforcement, it’s time to reevaluate the whole darn thing.
I have not been reading Varvel for long, but can I assume he became apoplectic when Trump fired Comey because Comey would not give Trump cover on the Russia investigation?

The only FBI corruption is how pro Republican they are. The problem the FBI has is how Donald Trump and his ilk keep breaking the law in public.

Thanks for the definition. Someone ask Cruz and DeSantis and McCarthy to define the word.

He so conveniently neglects the corruption Drumpf introduced into the judiciary and the Department of Justice …

BILL: Does that explain support for Trump?
TOM: What? The cancer?
BILL: No. The small brain Gary drew.
TOM: Well, your brain is infected with TDS! BILL: OH YEAH? TOM: YEAH!

Could the fact that the FBI is run by a lifelong Republican and Trump appointee be the point of Varvel’s drawing?
