Every rock band gets this. They’ve rehearsed 20 songs to perfection, but there’s always someone who’d prefer that they did one no-one’s heard for twenty years, and the drummer never heard at all.
Quite a few years ago at a Crosby & Nash concert…someone yells out “play Carry On”. To which David quickly replies, “Sorry, but that’s Stephen’s song”.
Reminds me of the time my idiot neighbour complained pigeons are stupid because they built a nest out of a few twigs on his balcony. The nest was unsafe! he complained. I had to break it to him that in their native land, pigeons are cliff dwelling and build the same instinctive nest, safe in a sheltered hollow on a cliff, wherever they are today. He thought they should up their game. Small wonder the earth is dying.
I could see these requests being to the tune of actual songs. Trill a Little Whistle (to the tune of Give a Little Whistle), Sticcato Tweets (to the tune of Sticky Sweet), and The Whoop Whoop Song to the tune of The Shoop Shoop song, or maybe Whoop! (There It Is) to the tune of Whoomp! (There It Is). But why no requests for Chirps or Warbles?
They should’ve requested songs from a common starling. In our neighborhood there is one which does black bird, golden oriole, hawk, and a whole variety of funny sounds.

He should team up with a neighborhood dog, and they could be the woofer and the tweeter.
