In other words, moochers.
Should be real interesting if Cathy’s folks get involved with this.

I wonder how they’re going to move out in further strips, when they have no retirement, no income or hope or it, and no other assets (guess we have to pray they save their social security)? Being able to move out doesn’t look feasible. And it’s not like Cathy and Irving aren’t either in debt or spending every last penny they earn either… so there is no way out unless they live in a cheap state where they can get a 1-room apartment and food and insurance for their $1000 or whatever in SSI.

I’d think they could help out more. If they’re living there and not working since they’re retired why aren’t they doing all of the housework, lawn care and cooking?

Some retired age people have jobs!
Somebody did not plan their retirement correctly. At their age they should not be having this problem.

I was thinking the same thing, summerdog. If they weren’t physically able, that would be different. But since they still seem to be quite able, they could work part-time to at least help with the grocery bills, etc.

Oh, idea. Cancel the satellite service for a week and say it’s permanent to help cover the costs of their in-laws’ free-loading ways; see how long they want to stick around then.

You working stiffs are pretty hard on the old folks. ( how many of you are living up to your last cent without a thought for tomorow?) Could be Irving’s freeloading brother borrowed them into debt, ruined their perfect credit and walked away like nothing happened! Always another side to the story.

Regardless of their plight, they are behaving like pigs – they could still help out both monetarily and with the chores.
