Brandy and other alcoholic drinks are actually dehydrating. You need cold drinks which hydrate you on a hot day rather than cold drinks which dehydrate you. Rover is happy just to hydrate a fire hydrant.

Rover and a Saint Bernard. If Rover could have puppies, they might be a new breed called Saint Rover’s.

Sadly, there was a strip last year which showed that Rover has been neutered and a reader commented, “What a shame! Rover won’t have puppies.”

Rover hardly ever barks. And carrying broth instead of brandy is so health conscious. Besides that, I laughed my head off!

Cold beef broth on a hot day would be refreshing for the St. Bernard.
