Since the boss always has bags of cash laying around, Brutus must be doing something right.

Oh Brutus. You walked right into that one. Just can’t help yourself, I know. But we root for you anyway.

Instead, it’s stuck at nowhere near satisfactory.

Maybe if Chief would offer an “Well Enough” employee of the month parking spot Brutus would try harder.

Or we could leave it “well enough alone” and LET IT BE (BEATLE HIT).

Poor Brutus, it’s hard to achieve objectives when the target keeps getting moved.

Brutus, you should know by now that no matter how hard you try, you will never satisfy the boss.

Brutus says “ new ways”, Chief says “competent ways.” To- may- to, to- mah- to!

Yearly evaluation and my boss counted off due to the condition of my desk. When I made the comment that my desk is always neat and only work items on it, he said that he had to count off on something as perfect scores cannot be given.

Ouch. However, Brutus is a good employee and appears to be middle management, as he sees the Boss on such a regular basis. So, he is no fool. However, this boss’s management technique is not encouragement and praise, but complaining and fear. He’s not the first or only one to use that technique. However, like the good trooper that Brutus is, he will just say “yes sir, may I have another”……

Evidently, Brutus doesn’t recognize his unique position in the company. Instead, he keeps acting like he’s a regular worker with desires for extra pay. If he’s not careful, his uniqueness may become less noticeable by the bossman.

Lesson in learning how to have a small fortune. First start with a large one.

my bosses gave up on improved performance, concentrating instead on damage control…

Does the fact that The Chief has only one bag of money on his desk have anything to do with Brutus not being up to “well enough”?
