When the first grandchild came along, I laid claim to the good job, that of being the ‘Designated BAD Example.’ Now with the grandchild total up to 16, I now fight a continuous battle of everyone else to try and take that job away. They just can’t stand the FACT that I have so much fun at being, BAD. It has help cement my place at the FAVORITE relative, hands down.
One time we took our granddaughters for ice cream in the afternoon. When we got back, our daughter scolded us and said we are spoiling them. Our son-in-law cut her off and said, Elise, they’re grandparents, that’s their job!
