Saleswoman: Those are so great! They go with anything! Cathy: Like what? Saleswoman: Anything at all! Cathy: Like what? Saleswoman: That skirt is fabulous if you toss it on with a long-sleeved tee! Cathy: I don't have a long-sleeved tee. Saleswoman: Throw it on with a kicky ribbed mock-turtleneck. Cathy: I don't have a kicky ribbed mock-turtleneck. Saleswoman: Toss it on with an oversized v-neck sweater. Cathy: I don't have an oversized v-neck sweater because I never have the right thing to wear under it! Saleswoman: The lacy camisole! The lacy camisole goes under the oversized v-neck sweater! Cathy: I can't find a lacy camisole that fits me!! Saleswoman: Wear a white blouse! You have a white blouse, don't you?! Cathy: I have nine white blouses! Three are too dressy, three are too summery, two are too bunchy to tuck in and one is useless because it needs the same lacy camisole I don't have to wear under my nonexistent oversized v-neck! Saleswoman: Oh, for crying out loud! Just wear it with anything you have and toss on a pair of neutral cowboy boots! Cathy: AACK! NEUTRAL COWBOY BOOTS! Saleswoman: At some point, I feel I've done my job if I've managed to drive them to another person's department.

This is but one reason I shop online. I’d have to shoot the sales lady in the head. The punishment might make it worthwhile, but the unknown makes me walk softly, vs. Cathy who runs away most every time.

And the people who know how to put individual pieces together are the ones who “get” fashion. I buy individual pieces, but it takes me a long time to figure out how to put them together. It’s definitely not intuitive to me, and it bugs me when people get impatient with me because it’s intuitive to them. —Good morning, Aaron and GretchensMom and all of the other Cathy-ites.

if Cathy is trying to ‘get’ fashionable, she should throw away her shirts with the hearts on them… i mean is she 5 years old??..lol…………….hi ya’ll Cathy fans :)
