Louie, Louie! I thought you were much nicer than that! Maybe you left a little bit for Scratch…. hmmm? On the other hand I’d think Scratch would learn to be less casual about the bowl. My cat can hear the can opener from upstairs, and she’s right there by the time the can’s open!

That will not last long. Very quickly Scratch will be in the kitchen watching Henry’s every move. I have had many cats over the decades…

Eat some mice. The ship is overrun with them

A very long time ago when we were just married we had just one dog and two cats. One day the dog scarfed down all the food on one cat’s plate. Later that day they were playing and the cat in question happen to smell the dog’s breath. After a good, hard swat on the nose, the dog stayed away from the cats’ food. 4 pound cat, 50 pound dog.

The mice eat Louie’s food. Louie eats Scratch’s food. If Scratch could eat the mice, the circle would be complete.

I had a pointer years ago who ate cat litter not cat food.

I mean, not litter exactly, but he sure did enjoy the treats the cats left behind in the litterbox….

Louie leaves no food dish untouched.
