That is why I prefer to shop by myself and not on insane sale days like Black Friday. I would prefer to have time to look at and think about my purchases, rather than have somebody shove something else at me.

Depends on store policy. My mom worked retail from the mid 70s until the early 2000s. Most places she worked would accept returns with receipts, especially if they weren’t stained or torn or obviously worn for a long time. Things do tear at first wearing or don’t quite match what you thought they would. Some customers took advantage and wore things for months and then returned them. She’d come home angry at them sometimes (even though she wasn’t on commission). But, the store policy was to ask no questions and give refunds/store credit.
