I frequently tried to loop-de-loop the swing as a child, but never quite made it.
Once you enter adulthood you start to lose your goals and your ideals – but as long as you’re a kid on your swing you keep reaching for the stars…
This could be another Jaws reference – “We’re going to need a bigger boat”. I’ve read that there has been a Jaws reference before which stretches this nostalgic strip as far into the 1970s as 1975.
Just when you reach escape velocity, they keep dragging you back in!
Not only taller, but wider…you need room for co-pilot Rover!

My biggest “swing arc” was about 180 degrees (parallel to the ground). There were rumors a kid “went 360”, but never confirmed.
Red and something so Rover can go with you …….. :)
