I remember driving down to the Santa Clara County Fair many years ago. Three weekends and the time in between with all sorts of exhibits, contests and merchants and a midway with all sorts of ways to separate fools from their money. I have heard that now it has been reduced to a Friday – Sunday thing with nothing more than the merchants and food booths. And the same musicians, new people trying out their acts and old rockers who should have retired 20 years ago.
