Typing on a modern laptop keyboard makes very little noise. It’s not like an old-fashioned typewriter.

Did it come with a mouth plug?

Are there more than two comfy booths in the place? He could consider sitting farther away from her.

Adam is a better human than I am. I would just move to a non adjacent booth. People like Ethel are already entitled enough. She shouldn’t be rewarded for being mean. I’ve been there too many times.
