Yeah, this is the part people forget when they wish they could have lived in Victorian or medieval times. A whole world with no sanitation, no deodorant, people who bathed once a month (if that), only wore socks and underwear if they could afford them, had maybe two sets of clothes if they could afford them, and for whom doing a load of laundry involved lugging a basket of clothes down to the creek and rubbing them with a brush and lye soap every couple weeks.
Or mid-1800s London, where there were two meter high piles of c..p on the shores of the Thames and the entire city smelled like dung.
Most of us couldn’t imagine what life was really like in those times.

I, unfortunately, have driven by a large pig farm…as much as I detest vinegar, I’ll take that over the pig farm stench!
