Walter Gibson was among the old pulp writers who could turn out 10,000 a words a day… Of course there is a reason that ‘pulp’ writer had the connotation churning out mediocre junk – but a number of them really were skilled writers whose works are good reading. (And a whole lot of them have been totally forgotten, as they should be.)
I find that most stories, like most lies, come out easily when you don’t worry about them. Just say, or type, what you are thinking and clean up the mess later.
The Mrs is a creative. Somedays just fly by and she is able to get more work done than she had imagined. And there are a few (and far between) when she will sketch and sketch on paper or pad and end up feeling like she has gotten nowhere. And then she will just put it all away and do something else, read, put on some music, watch something on tv, play with the animals, go on a horseback ride or something else. She has her ways and I have found the best thing I can do fo her is to get out of her way, bake some bread or scones, make a pot of tea (Earl Grey, hot, with honey) and put on some of her favourite relaxation music. What I found interesting was that when she is really driving at her work she puts on almost exclusively Charlie Parker and maybe a cut or two of Miles. And “Fast Duke Ellington” as she terms it.

Let’s face it Adam, not you best career choice. You’d be better off stocking shelves in a grocery store.

Surely the timeline for these two is recent enough that they could be using voice recognition instead of typing?

I love the way Laura won’t lie. So she just doesn’t want to say .. she is a star.
