It worked.

Is quiet fired where you can continue sleeping at your desk, but you don’t get paychecks? That might be a solution to the homeless crisis.

There are only so many places to get fired or quit from…quietly or otherwise.

And you were quietly thrown out on your ear!!!

Why does something that’s been going on forever have to have a label?

If he’s doing what’s required then he’s doing more than he did in the past. Boss should’ve been happy.

They used to call that ‘working to rule’.

I guess I’ve never felt that way. I’ve always tried to do the best job that I could. I’ve had some really sorry bosses in my working life but never felt it right to not do my best.

“Quiet fired”? Is that like when they stop paying you, steal your stapler and move your desk to the basement? Maybe it’s just when they disable your badge when you go to lunch and security won’t let you back in the building.

Da-mned if you do and da-mned if you don’t…

Co-workers are a lot like Christmas lights. We all hang together, but half of them don’t work, and the other half aren’t all that bright !!

I got fired for not doing enough work, I made 1.60 a hour. They paid me a weeks severances pay and a week vacation. I was walking through the department store 10 days later and the manager that fired me ask me if I wanted my job back, so I went back to work. The office help told me they had hired 7 stock boys and fired them for not doing half the work I did. Go figure.

It’s a new trend that was started while they were building the pyramids.

“Told my boss”? He wrote a letter of “quiet resignation”?

The secret to ‘quiet quitting’ is to not tell the boss you are ‘quiet quitting’.

I doubt it was quiet.

I prefer the term “furtive firing.” It preserves the alliteration of “quiet quitting.”
