A week ago, I watched a reaction video to a movie on YouTube. The “reviewers” knew nothing about the movie, they were hoping for something they could attack ala “Mystery Science Theater 3000.” Early in their “review,” they noticed the director was Robert Wise (who they also knew nothing about — he later directed the original “West Side Story,” “The Sound of Music,” and “Star Trek – The Motion Picture”) and one of them said “He would’ve been wise not to direct this movie.” Then they started to actually watch the movie and, about 1/3 of the way into it, they said “This is actually a pretty good movie” and “It’s going to be hard to riff on this.”
The movie was the original “Day the Earth Stood Still” from 1951. I’m guessing that, because it was released in 1951, they thought it was going to be a bad movie. I can only hope they’ll stop doing reaction videos.
Now had they reacted to there Keanu Reeves remake —

A real internet troll wouldn’t let that stop him from trashing it.

He is clearly not applying himself. Sure it will get sorted out in an online troll support forum.
