Side comment…..maybe the speed of sound………give the kid a break……I lost math in long division and the “new math” in the seventh grade.
I’ve often noted that the electrons in computer systems are limited to the speed of light, much slower than the speed of human desire.
Notice that the teacher is shocked Ginger understood the math well enough to pass a test… and not giving himself (Mr. Canehard) praise for getting through to such a difficult student. He is doubting both of their skills.
