Dear Will, I am at trimming the Hedges right now. If I would have a dog like you I would certainly get rid off all the annoying cats which roam in the garden. Sad, I can not adopt you. Warmly, your Silberdistel
The “pee line” is one reason I prefer female dogs. My current dog is female and a marker. She’s small, so she doesn’t get a lot of lift, but if she wants lift, she will prop her leg up on something like a rock or a pole and she can get higher than some dogs much bigger than she is. She’s never boring. She only barks in her sleep, too.
We have large decorative rocks in my complex. I can tell which male dogs peed on them at any given time by how high they are. My dog once, when I first had her, got up on top of one and peed down all over it. Eventually I figured out she wasn’t so much marking her territory as learning her new neighborhood. She slowed down after a few weeks, and she knows every street in here now and how to get home. Sometimes she decides to add an extra block or two to our walks. She lasted almost 3 miles this morning. She will be 13 in a week.

My lurcher Zebedee sadly no longer with us, trained himself to poop under dense bushes. No need to scoop

I’ll have to keep that in mind, I don’t want you expanding you peeline.
