So many clients have these fake “deadlines”. Why hassle your own people to meet it, when you will find the report still sitting in the client’s inbox a week later?

Big boss would leave the project on his desk for 3 months. Then the last week before it’s due, he would assign it to be done ASAP!

I usually replied “a failure to plan on your part does not deserve an emergency on my part.” Worked pretty well.

Time to get another client.
