I do love that test pattern feeling. The pure alpha wave blankness of mind. Unity with the cosmic egg, where all that exists is one’s self and the shell about one, which is everything else. And no navel for gazing!
And that’s why you cannot sit on that chair, unless you want a cat on your lap. I don’t mean to say that you can’t sit on that chair. But it was always my favorite chair. I had to move it so I could get a direct view of the TV without sitting in that chair. The cat took over that chair, as its first order of business, right after it ate up two point six ounces of tuna. It comes and goes, and hasn’t ever yet required a litter box. It just eats and leaves, and comes back to nap. I still get the weird dreams, though. In the last one, the cat and I were battling some weirdos who had it in mind that the cat was their greatest nemesis, a chaos demon. The cat says it retired from all of that decades ago. Do cats even live that long? I don’t think about it very much. What would be the point, really?
With regard to the Blog post about eel imports (#FB00797):
Ferendel comes from Middle English “ferthendel”, which comes from Old English “fēorþan dǣl” meaning “fourth part, share, or portion”. The Old English letter þ is called “thorn” (þorn), which was later replaced in most languages by “th”.
The comic strip racket is for sure nerve-wracking, and the pressure to excel every day can be overwhelming.TV test pattern seizures are the least of the symptomology, though.
That’s why, in fact—I’m not kidding, man!—, we hear of so many cartoonist-serial killers: in-Con sequential back-stabbings, and frenzied sensibilities….

No offense to Face-Out-Of-Proportion-To-Rest-Of-Body Girl*, but the Indian-head test pattern was the best.
*Marguerite Ahl (R.I.P.) was much better at naming Teresa’s characters than I am.
