Great Aunt Rosaria had the right idea … if you’re going to lie about your age, go up, not down … always add years. It’s so much better to have people think you look younger than you say you are. If instead, you subtract 5 or 10 years, they’ll wonder why you look so old.
I have a g-grandmother who did that same trick. Oh, the tales she told! Of course, if she was as old as she claimed, her children would’ve been born when she was in her 50s.
