I remember having to put my book reports in a folder with my name on it in various grades at school. I think the folders cost anywhere from 5-15 cents. The poor teachers had to lug those things home to score them, but I suppose it was better than trying to keep stapled or paper clipped reports from 20 or 30 kids wrangled.
I had a Siamese cat that would jam up the keys on my manual typewriter while trying to type. Eventually, I could afford an unjammable IBM Selectric. I was curious to see what he would do with it.
I was disappointed. His work was formulaic, cat-centric and the hero was always a clever Siamese. :)
