Weird coincidence, and absolutely not a complaint. However, a teacher made the news recently as plan A for her class in case of an active shooter is escape. Plan B is hockey pucks taped under their desks. Seeing this new character keeps making me think of that. Again, not a complaint on cartoon, or author. It is just that I live within 30 minutes of 3 recent mass shootings, and within 5 minutes of 1 that I pass every morning on the way to work. It is a sad state of the times we live in that this comes to mind when reading my daily cartoons.
