I don’t get it. How is giving the same speech every week going to help him find out who is yelling “get lost, shorty”?

No matter how bad the standup comic, I’ve never heard a heckler actually just say Heckle Heckle.

A couple of theories on why this could be funny.

#1- There are many rude comments, but the King is sensitive about his height and therefore only takes exception to “Get lost Shorty!” Everyone else is free to go but that guy is gonna get it.

#2- It’s the same speech every year. His speech consists of how these peasants are so intellectually low and have such brief attention spans. The fact that they come back every year for the same speech and none of them catch it (apparently) proves the point of the King that they have brief attention spans otherwise they would heckle him intelligently by shouting, “It’s the same speech you gave last year.”

If he still hasn’t found out, guess he has the short attention span and a lousy group of spies.
