In ‘Nancy-The Musical,’ upon witnessing this mystical event, Aunt Fritzi belts out the following classic melody:

“I never believed in things, that I couldn’t see.

I said if I can’t see it, then how can it be.

No, no magic could happen to me.

And then I saw this."

I might have a theory why their art work gets magically crooked and it might not have anything to do with magic. Although I don’t recall if they ever mentioned what city they live in, but if they happen to live nearby San Francisco, it could be that small, weekly earthquake tremors could be the cause of the crooked art work.
