In my travels last week, I saw two different churches having pumpkin patch sales, plenty of round pumpkins

Looks like there are more gourds than round orange pumpkins.

Now where’s the fun in that?

I dunno. I’m ancient of days. I grew up on orange pumpkins. I love the green stripy ones, the ones with long necks, and all the other variations.

we grew some round, orange pumpkins along with other varieties in different shapes and colors (my favorites are puccini – orange and white strips on tiny round pumpkins). the seed company sent us a packet of musquée de provence seeds as a present this year. i’m trying to figure how big of a crane i’m going to need to transport the mothers from the field…
