The worst day fishing is still better than the best day at work!

We can’t all be successful fishermen, and that’s the case with Dear. Hopefully he will keep quiet and not yell his anger. That gets so tiresome to hear, and will be in a better mood before getting home.

Don’t let his mood spoil yours, Fred!

There ought to be better ways to dispose of old worn out wellies than dump them into the nearest waterway.

I’m glad to see that Mr Dear is back on the right/correct side of his car…

Fishing is a strange hobby! It brings either great peace or miserable frustration!

Growing up with a Basset Hound, I would have said the hardest thing about fishing would be keeping the dog out of the water. Of course, then we got an American Water Spaniel … and my perspective changed.

As has these weeks of repeats from early strips continue, I notice that the Dears are much happier and more relaxed and current strips, than in the original strips.

I thought fishing was supposed to be relaxing

I’m afraid with all these negative cartoons I may be persuaded to pay more attention elsewhere. Fred’s strip used not to be so negative.

As a good number of fishermen would say: “The best fishing is when you catch nothing.”
