This is what is missing in comics: Positive portrayals of loving families who are kind to each other. Amidst the put-downs, parental snarkiness and anti-child tone of the average family comic, today’s particular episode is a refreshing break. Call it saccharine all you like, but in a proper world, this would be the norm in comics if not elsewhere.
