I guess back in those days, it was common to want to grow up to become president. These days, I can’t imagine why anyone would even want that job. You can make more money as a CEO and with far less aggravation.

It’s better to be a good guy than a big-time operator. But CB is probably too young to understand that.

Today’s obvious joke: Every pair of shoes he ever owns will be Brown shoes.

You can still be President Charlie Brown, but there are no more five star Generals.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, Charlie Brown. There are worse things to be called.
