September is nice. When I was growing up, my school(s) always started in August, like it would be last week the 2nd last of August, and still have Labor day off.

I feel the same way, Charlie Brown. I have a love hate relationship with fall.

Every rose has it’s thorns!

Then he probably hates songs about September by The Happenings, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and Neil Diamond.

I love the fall months, the change from a hot summer to cooler days and nights. Only draw back is raking leaves.

I prefer October

I always liked June. School was out for summer (feel free to insert Alice Cooper references), and my birthday is in that month. What’s not to like??

Already? That’s a bummer Charlie Brown.

Not anymore

We never outgrow it. I’m 74. Last night I dreamed that I forgot that school was starting and I missed several days of school. I was too embarrassed to say anything, so I kept missing more days. Finally, my parents realized school had started and were debating whether they should just keep me out for the entire year or go to the school and say “oops” and have me try to make up the missed weeks.

School started the day after Labor Day when I was a pupil.

September is almost here, which means Fall will soon be here. Bout time.

I remember the first autumn I was no longer in school, university, grad school, etc. It was like a whole new world was opened to me.

I always felt sorry for a cousin of mine who’s birthday was on September 4th. She often had to go back to school on her birthday.
