This may seem a bit rude, but if I was Luann, I’d be a bit more suspicious as to why some of the children in the neighborhood look like they could be the offspring of her father.
The very first thing you do if you’re going to make cookies from scratch is to get all of the ingredients ready:
225 g sugar
125 g butter
200 g flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. baking soda
1 large egg
200 g dark chocolate (broken into small chunks)
250 g. milk chocolate (broken into small chunks)
Next set your oven to 180° C and preheat it
While the oven is warming up, mix all the ingredients except for the chocolate in a large bowl and knead until it’s a big sticky mess, about half of which is stuck to your fingers. Add the chocolate, and knead some more.
Form the dough into little balls and put them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake for 8 minutes.
Note 1: For those unfortunate enough to be using the imperial system of weights and measures, there are 28.3 grams to an ounce, so just divide the amounts in grams (g) by 28.3 to get the number of ounces. 180° C = 356° F
Note 2: These are the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever tasted. You’ll want to make at least a double or triple batch (I always make a double batch, and I don’t even have any kids)
