Skittles do actually have different flavors though. Although there’s an online claim that if you plug your nose you can’t taste the difference, this is true of almost all flavors. Except for the basic salty, sweet, umami, sour, bitter, all flavors come from scent.

I used o think that skittles just tasted like sugar until I was pointed out that they had fruit flavors, my life hasn’t been the same since.
