    JAD,

    I take it those abstract/non-objective artists (and I use the term loosely) who started with realistic art, failed miserably and moved on to the abstract to avoid getting a real job.

    I own number of works, by both Canadian and American artists and none of them resemble cans of paint splattered on a canvas.

    After painting my house interior, the tee-shirt I wore for most of it (not wanting to ruin more than one shirt) looked like an Impressionistic landscape.
